Don't go to Haiti, it's too dangerous! I am sure you have heard that before. But not all of Haiti is in turmoil, there are still safe areas where people still travel on a daily basis for vacation, to live in and/or to visit family and friends. One of these vacation spots is in Labadee, Haiti. I encourage you to do your due diligence, but know that Haiti (mostly places away from the capital) is still a viable option.
Labadee is a port located on the northern coast of Haiti within the arrondissement of Cap-Haïtien in the Nord department. It is a private resort leased to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., for the exclusive use of passengers of its three cruise lines: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises, until 2050.
Personally for me, Labadee would be the one I would feel the safest , and a great start just like an appetizer, or the teaser in a movie to have a taste of what else Haiti can offer.
